A Grand Welcome to the Freshers 2017 at GNA University
The sleepless nights and the rigorous practices for the fresher’s party finally paid off. The fresher’s party was organized by GNA University in Lilly Resort, Jalandhar on August 10, 2017. The University welcomed their fresh inmates by offering them a motivational welcome by Dr Deepak Vohra, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Lesotho and Guinea Bissau and to Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Councils, Kargil and Leh and Mr. Simerjeet Singh, an International Speaker, Performance Coach & Growth Catalyst.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by S. Gurdeep Sihra, Pro-chancellor GNA University, Dr. Prem Kumar, Vice-Chancellor GNA University, Mr. Kunal Bains, Registrar GNA University, the honorable guest Mr. B N Sharma, Retired IG- BSF, Mrs. Anuradha, Ms Tanveer and various other dignitaries.
The Pro Chancellor, GNA University, S Gurdeep Singh Sihra highlighted the gathered audience to have purposeful education so as to become good human beings with skill and expertise to excel in this competitive world. Being an industrialist himself, he urged the students to make the most of their stay at GNA University to become what exactly our modern industry needs.
Dr Prem Kumar, Vice Chancellor – GNA University, welcomed the new students to the University and congratulated the event organizing committee for the wonderful preparation. Dr Kumar ignited the youth by taking an oath to discover the hidden potential lying within them and urged the students to have determination and take the opportunity which the university will provide to flower their personality. He also apprised the new entrants about the vision and mission of the university.
Dr Deepak Vohra, emphasized on the importance of the basic instinct in human that is ‘Trust’. He motivated the youth that the basis of every relationship is trust and everyone needs someone to trust on as he believes that the bedrock of every relationship is trust. He inspired the youth to have civic values and to incorporate the two magical words in their lives – ‘Sorry and Thank You’.
Mr. Simerjeet Singh, an International Speaker was one of the resource persons for the day. He stressed on having a transformational way to live life. He motivated the students to believe that efforts matter and not only ability to achieve success that depends upon mindset and skill set. He urged to lead a life with a purpose and to always be ready to learn and be focused for what you want in life and gave a message at last that success requires 100% efforts.
Dr Disha Khanna, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts extended the heartfelt vote of thanks to the gathered young audience. Mr. Sameer Varma, Ms Monika Hanspal and other faculty members from GNA University were also present to grace the occasion.
The students were mesmerized by the renowned singers Ahen Vani and Manna Mand. They applauded with a unanimous roar and encouraged them for their energetic performances. Overall the Fresher’s Day for the new entrants was a huge hit.
