Workshop organized on Amadeus software for Aviation and tourism students by GNA University

The Faculty of Hospitality, GNA University, organized a workshop on Amadeus Software for the students of Airlines, Tourism and Hospitality (B. Sc. ATH) on 15th November’ 2019.


The workshop was conducted by Mr. Pritej Bhalla, Amadeus Expert, Chandigarh International Airport. Mr. Bhalla explained the importance of Amadeus software for the air ticket booking which is used globally by the travel industry. He apprised the students that knowledge about the software will help them while they will be taking up the jobs in travel industry in future. Through his presentation, he also explained the process of air ticket booking on the software. He also shared how accuracy is important at each and every step while working on the software to avoid inconvenience to guest and to save company from facing any trouble.   
Dr. Varinder Singh Rana, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Hospitality, gave floral welcome to Mr. Pritej Bhalla and extended his gratitude. He also conveyed thanks to faculty members for organizing the workshop.


Prof. Dr. V. K. Rattan, Vice-Chancellor, GNA University congratulated the faculty members of the Faculty of Hospitality for organizing the workshop. He said “organizing such workshop helps the students to gain knowledge from people having first-hand knowledge of working in the travel sector. 


S. Gurdeen Singh Sirha, Pro-Chancellor, GNA University also appreciated the efforts of the faculty for providing opportunity to the students to enhance the knowledge about the software required to work in travel industry. He said “this kind of workshop will be a step forward for students in achieving their goals”.
The faculty members Ms. Shagun Khaira, Mr. Praveen and Dr. Kusum were also present during the session.
