Electronics and Communications Engineering involves researching, designing, developing and testing of electronic equipment used in various systems. Electronics and Communications engineers conceptualize and oversee the manufacturing of communications and broadcast systems.

ECE program in GNA provides students with captivating choices in softwares like Arduino, MATLAB and LabView. Students are entitled to choose amongst specialization electives as per their identified areas of interest. GNA has CONNECT Broadband (Videocon) equipment named Base Transceiver Station where students work on it in their practical labs.

This stream of engineering covers diverse areas including electromagnetic field theory, communication systems, control engineering, micro-controllers, electronic circuits, digital signal processing, network theory and many more. One can witness a tremendous blend of foundation courses with contemporary courses like Internet of Things, Robotics, Nano-Technology, Neural Networks, Image Processing and a lot more. Ample opportunities are bestowed on students to work on exciting projects based on real-time applications. Research activities encourage students for innovation and life-long learning.

Our laboratories include - Electronic Devices and Circuits lab, Linear and Digital Integrated Circuits lab, Microprocessors lab, Microcontrollers lab, VHDL lab, Digital Signal Processing lab, Microwave Engineering lab and Optical Communication lab, wherein students complete their practical work. GNA is bestowing an opportunity for aspiring students to become Electronics and Communication Engineers with profound technical knowledge to take up challenges in the industry.

  • The program gives fundamental knowledge of core electronics and communication engineering subjects in the analysis, design and development of various types of integrated electronics systems.
  • Students get the fundamental concepts of ECE to design a variety of components and systems for applications including signal processing, image processing, communication, networking, embedded systems, VLSI & control system.

Minor Engineering

Keeping in view the interests of the student, we at GNA University, offer the student to choose multiple domains in engineering. Students may opt for a secondary field of engineering as Minor Engineering from 3rd semester, along with their primary chosen field. In order to have an additional Minor Engineering, a student must earn additional minimum 20 credits in the chosen field of minor engineering.

B. Tech. Honors

A student will be eligible to get Engineering degree with Honours, if he/she completes an additional 20 credits. These could be acquired through MOOCs/NPTEL courses subject to approval by the Dean/Head of the Faculty of Engineering Design and Automation.
