Education System
Semester System
GNA University follows a Semester System which is in conformity with the global practices and standards. The Course curriculum of one year is taught into two semester This system promotes greater interaction between faculty members and students.
Curriculum Development
The course syllabus is first examined and evaluated by an expert committee which is then reviewed by Board of Studies of the institution for recommendations to Academic Council for approval.
Continuous Evaluation System
Students are evaluated on Continuous basis. Continuous Assessment Criteria has been prepared by the respective Program Deans for the Continuous Evaluation of their Students/Individuals. 60% weightage is given to continuous assessment in a semester wherein 3-4 evaluation components with weightages are defined. It covers Class Test, Viva, Quiz, Case Discussion / Presentation / Analysis, Home Assignment, Project, Seminar, Term Paper, Attendance etc.
Grade System
The level of students’ academic performance as the aggregate of continuous evaluation and end term examination is reflected by letter grades on a Ten Point Scale. Letter grades (A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, F) have points associated with them in quantified hierarchy and have qualitative meaning. Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) & Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) are calculated based on the students’ performance in Semester(s), & overall respectively.
Industry Endorsed Curriculum
Board of Advisers in every faculty comprises of members from Industry and Academia who help in developing curriculum in consultation with the leading professionals from the industry. This helps in making the students job ready.
Project Based Learning
For better understanding of the concepts and to give practical exposure to the students, experiential learning is adopted. Students have an opportunity to work on real life projects using project Based Learning.
Choice Based Credit System(CBCS)
The CBCS Provides an opportunity for the students to choose courses from the prescribed curriculum comprising core, elective/minor and skill based courses. Through the choice Based Credit System a Student obtains a degree in a particular program of study by earning the required number of credits prescribed for the degree.
