Program Outcomes:

Apply knowledge and technical skills associated with medical laboratory sciences for delivering quality clinical investigations support.
Perform routine clinical laboratory procedures within acceptable quality control parameters in hematology, biochemistry, immunehematology and microbiology.
Demonstrate technical skills, social behavior and professional awareness for functioning effectively as a laboratory technician.
Apply problem solving techniques in identification and correction of pre analytical, post analytical & analytical variables.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment utilizing appropriate quality control and safety procedures.
Recognize the impact of laboratory tests in a global and environmental context.
Communicate effectively by oral, written and graphical means.
Function as a leader/team member in diverse professional and industrial research areas.
Apply the fundamentals of research process to complete and present research studies that enrich the field of physical therapy.

Program Specific Outcomes:

Competency to perform a full range of testing in the contemporary medical laboratory encompassing pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical components of laboratory services, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, body fluids, molecular diagnostics, phlebotomy, immunology and hematology.
Proficiency to problem-solves, troubleshoot, and interpret results, and use statistical approaches when evaluating data.
Professional conduct, respecting the feelings and needs of others, protecting the confidenceof patient information, and not allowing personal concerns and biases to interfere with the welfare of patients.
Administrative skills consistent with philosophies of quality assurance, continuous quality improvement, laboratory education, resource management, and appropriate composure under stressful conditions.
Application of safety and governmental regulations and standards as applied to medical laboratory practice.
Effective communication skill to ensure accurate and appropriate information transfer.
