BPT or Bachelor of Physiotherapy is an undergraduate academic Course in a field of Medical Science known as Physiotherapy. The duration of BPT course is 4½ years including internship of 6 months. It deals with the science of physical movement and channelizing it to prevent disability and diseases of movement. Physiotherapy or physical therapy is an allied health profession that helps people increase, maintain or restore their physical mobility, function, and strength. This science makes use of electrotherapy, evidence-based kinesiology, exercise prescription and shockwave mobility to treat chronic conditions of the bones and soft tissues.

Physical Therapy Programs provide core skills like manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and the application of electro physical modalities, to the prospective students. The course focuses on the use of physical therapy, massages, physical movements and exercise to improve and cure injuries, deformities and diseases. Physiotherapy doesn’t rely extensively on the use of drugs and medicine. Instead, it relies on the use of physical treatment to improve the situation.


To qualify this Program every student is required to earn a total of 249 credits arranged in the following manner:

  • Students will undergo Practical training in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, therapy.
  • Students will undergo training in Physical recreation, movement, leisure, activation.
  • As vital members of the health care team, professionals play a critical role in giving the training to the ill or injured patients as well as to the patients having joint problems.

If candidates can prove their practical expertise, then they can find lucrative jobs in the sports stadium, ministry of sports, various health societies, etc. They can also take up independent practice and practice as a freelancer.
