Statutory Declaration Under RTI Act, 2005
The Right to Information Act, 2005 has been enacted by the Parliament and has come into force from 15 June, 2005. This Act provides access to information under the control of public authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority.
GNA University (The University) is a statutory organization established by The GNA University Act 2014 (Punjab Act No. 17 of 2014) by the notification dated 21st August 2014 under the State Legislature of Punjab 2010 and by virtue of its being established by the statute of the State Legislature, it comes within the meaning of Public Authority and under the purview of Right to Information Act, 2005.

Procedure For Seeking Information
Any information disclosure of which is not prohibited by any law and information related to the public affairs of this University is open to the public and may be obtained from the Public Information Officer (PIO) of this University by written applications for seeking such information.
All RTI applications must clearly specify the full name and address of the applicant and full particulars of the information required with relevant reference, if any. Any request for information may be made in English, Hindi or Punjabi. If required, the help of a Public Information Officer may be taken. Requests may be sent by post or personally handed over in the Registrar Office of the University during working hours of the University.
Note : Applicants are requested to follow the prescribed procedure as per the RTI Act.
