About GNA Hackathon 3.0

The GNA Hackathon 3.0 in association with Indian Society for Technical Education is a dynamic and competitive event aimed at fostering creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills among students and technology enthusiasts. With a focus on cutting-edge themes such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Healthcare, Environment, Fintech, Cybersecurity, Gaming, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Robotics, Internet of Things (loT), and Cloud Computing, participants will have the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges and develop innovative solutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Hackathon is open to all students pursuing Under Graduate, Post Graduate, or any diploma program from the same institute.
  • Each team must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members.
  • Team members can be from different departments but within the same university/institute.
  • One team leader must be nominated prior for all communication.
  • Team members can be from different academic years.
  • Once teams have registered, changes in team members will not be encouraged.

General Rules:

  • All participants must register prior to 22 March 2025.
  • Teams must choose one problem statement from the provided list.
  • Each team can work on only one project throughout the hackathon.
  • Participants can bring their ideas in PPT format.
  • Participants are expected to bring their own laptops, PPTs, and necessary equipment. Limited resources may be available on-site.
  • Plagiarism and any form of cheating will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Teams must adhere to ethical standards and avoid working on projects that could potentially harm individuals, communities, or the environment.
  • Judges' decisions will be final.
  • Participants must respect the facilities and property of GNA University.

Project Presentation:

  • Each team will be given a specific time slot of 7-10 minutes to present their project to the judges, followed by 2-5 minutes of feedback.
  • Presentations must include a demonstration of the project, its functionality, and its relevance to the chosen theme.
  • Teams are allowed to use visual aids such as slides, prototypes, or videos during their presentations.
  • Q&A sessions will follow each presentation, during which judges may ask questions regarding the project.

Certificates

  • Certificates will be awarded to all the participants.
  • Prize winners will be awarded with cash prizes, vouchers, giveaways, and other exciting gifts.
  • Top-performing teams will have the opportunity to incubate their idea under the GU-TBI Cell.

  • Participants must maintain a respectful and inclusive environment throughout the event.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the hackathon.
  • Participants should collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and other participants.
  • Any concerns or issues should be reported to the event organizers immediately.

By participating in the GNA University Hackathon, all attendees agree to abide by the rules and regulations outlined in this rule book. The organizers reserve the right to modify the rules or disqualify any participant found to be in violation of these rules.
