GNA University is hosting “19th Annual ISTE Student Convention” on October 27, 2023.
At GNA UNIVERSITY, we firmly believe that diverse perspectives and collective wisdom are key drivers of innovation and academic excellence. That's why we are organising a series of dynamic technical events, such as Technical Presentations, Project Demonstration, Code Debugging, and CAD-O-MANIA (For additional information, kindly find the attached rulebook.)
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) stands as the foremost non-profit professional organisation dedicated to advance the Technical Education System in India. Its core principles revolve around enhancing teachers' careers, nurturing students' personalities, and fostering the overall growth of technical education. As the sole national association of educators in the realm of engineering and technology, ISTE actively plays a significant role in various initiatives undertaken by the Indian government. Its extensive presence within technical education institutions throughout the nation distinguishes ISTE.

If you have an ISTE Chapter at your Institution, you also have the opportunity to recommend an outstanding student from your institution for the ISTE Best Student Award. (To make nominations, please fill the attached Best ISTE Student Award Performa.)
- All the participants will get a participation certificate.
- Registration Fee: For ISTE Member Students = Free
- For Non-ISTE Member Students = 100/-(per team member)
- Payment instructions are given in the registration form.
By actively participating in our technical events, your university will not only contribute to the professional growth of students but also forge lasting connections with like-minded institutions.
General Rules
- All the events are restricted to students currently studying in any recognized educational institute.
- More than one team from same institute in each event is permitted.
- All the Students need to come in complete formals with valid Identity Card of Institute
- All the participants will get participation certificate.
- The participating teams are required to register themselves with registration committee and make sure that they reach the designated venue 30 minutes before the start of the event.
- The decision of the Judges will be final and binding in each event.
- Registration Fee. For ISTE Membership Students = Free For Non-ISTE Membership Students = 100 (per team member)

TECHNICAL PRESENTATION
We extend an invitation to you to join us in exploring the forefront of technological progress, inventive problem-solving, and stimulating concepts that shape the continuously evolving tech realm. "Technical presentation" offers a stage where expertise converges with exceptional presentation skills, encouraging enriching dialogues and deepening our comprehension of the digital age. The focal point of the Technical presentation event will revolve around the theme 'Emerging Trends in Engineering' providing an engaging PowerPoint presentation opportunity to delve into these progressive trends and spark engaging conversations within the audience.
Time limit: 8-10 Minutes
No. of participants:1-2
Click Here for Rules- 1. The presentation must explain what the benefits to society are of this trend.
- 2. Presentation must contain 10-12 slides relevant to the topic.

3. Judging will be based on the following aspects:
- a) Organization
- b) Quality of Presentation Slides
- c) Presentation Style
- d) Response to Questions

- a) A separate copy of the slides in PDF format must be submitted prior.

PROJECT DEMONSTRATION
The Project Demonstration Competition in the engineering field is an opportunity for aspiring engineers and innovators to showcase their technical expertise and innovative solutions. Participants will present their engineering projects, prototypes, or designs to a panel of judges and their peers. This platform allows students to present their work in a comprehensive and interactive manner, highlighting their proficiency in utilizing cutting-edge technologies and showcasing their ability to conceive, design, and execute projects independently. Project should be related to market and it should benefit society
No. of participants: 1-4
Click Here for Rules- 1. Each team will be allotted with 15 minutes where 12 minutes is for presentation and 3 minutes for questionnaires round with audience and judges.
- 2. Evaluation of the project will be based on the utility, technology used and presentation Skills.
- 3. Participants must bring their own equipment and materials necessary for their project demonstrations.

CODE HUNT
The Code Hunt event focuses on testing the logical and programming skills of students in which each team will first appear in a screening quiz consisting of questions based on C/C++ programming followed by a problem solving round that involves solving a given problem in a limited time frame.
No. of participants: 1 – 4 per team

- 1. Moderate coding-based questions will be asked.
- 2. 30 Questions will be based on C/C++.
- 3. Questions will be both subjective as well as objective or puzzle type.
- 4. Questions will test basic analytical, mathematical and programming skills of the participants.
- 5. Use of mobile phones or other electronic media is not allowed.
- 6. Top scorer teams will be qualified for the final round.
Round 2(Time limit: 1 hour)
- 1. Each team will be given a problem that they will have to solve.
- 2. The solution should be coded using C/C++ language.
- 3. The teams will be scored according to the presentation of the final solution, test cases passed and the logic used in programming the solution.
- 4. Use of the internet and mobile phones is not allowed.

CAD-O-MANIA
World of designing is running more than the speed of light. Now it’s time to express your imagination power. Here “CAD-O-MANIA” is challenging your designing brilliance. Now the battle has begun so challenge your mind. If you are mad for CAD so, get armed up with all your design weapons and tricks in this war of designing.
Time limit: 90 minutes
