Workshop on Modern Trends and Future of Indian Gastronomy at GNA University

Faculty of Hospitality at GNA University organized a workshop on “Modern trends and Future of Indian Gastronomy.” Chef Sanjay Thakur, a renowned chef at Ethiad Airways who represented India twice in bocuse d or 2014 and 2016(Culinary Olympics) demonstrated the live preparation and food plating with indigenous ingredients. Chef Varinder Singh Rana, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Hospitality delivered the welcome address and mentioned about the bright future of Indian Gastronomy.



Students were given hands on training on the modern plate presentations and garnishes. Chef Thakur educated students on the specific use of Indian herbs and spices in the Indian cuisine. He also demonstrated the modern molecular gastronomy to the students. The students were happy after attending an experiential session and found it extremely useful for their future career.



Prof V. K Rattan, Vice Chancellor, GNA University appreciated the efforts of Faculty of Hospitality and shared that global world is very much enjoying the magic of Indian Food.



S Gurdeep Singh Sihra, Pro Chancellor, GNA University also praised the accomplishment of Faculty of Hospitality to host such kind of valuable workshops.
