S. Gurdish Singh Pannu Director Rainbow Group visited GNA University for addressing B. Design (Automotive and Product Design) students about the Design Thinking. Mr. C.R. Tripathy-Dean Faculty of Design and Innovation felicitated guest and gave a warm welcome. S. Gurdish Singh Pannu is a creative designer and photographer.  There were almost 100 students attending the session. From development of design thinking to how to insert disruption into thought processes to spark creative ideas, and also gave some great insights into creative and innovative thinking. He explained why design thinking is important and what does it require to become a successful Designer. He added Design thinking is a foundation for the innovation. It requires useful mind set for designer because it helps them in becoming focused towards their goal. To make the session interactive and communicative, he asked the students to present their creative skills. Students were asked to draw different objects in the Cintiq Pro and surprisingly all of them showcased something different than the other. It helped in finding out the detailed idea about how creative an individual is and how can designing be different from each other based on their mind set and intellectual skills. Everyone had fun during the session and got the complete idea of what it requires to be good designer. At the end of the session, he congratulated S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra Pro Chancellor and CEO GNA Gears for responsive of all students during the entire session. The students already learnt various techniques of designing. Dr. V.K Rattan Vice Chancellor quoted few words as a vote of thanks for being with the students and making them aware about the development of the Designers.
