Visit to Construction Site
02-12-2016The visit was organized by Faculty of Engineering & Technology on “Advanced Methods, Safety and Control of Excavation for Raft Foundation.” The resource person was Mr. Jaseesh Singh Jaswal, F.A, F.E.T. He briefed students about advanced machinery used for excavation of foundation for multi-storey building, control on the mixing of concrete and safety methods adopted while placing concrete in the foundation. He also explained the drawing of the current site to the students so that they can realize how theoretical work is converted into practical structures.At the end, doubts of the students were discussed on the site. Students from B.Tech Civil Sem. 3rd became part of the visit. Students got to know about the major and minor components of Excavator, Loader, and Concrete Mixer. It was a great learning exposure to the students and a very positive feedback from the students was received.
